For the past few nights Ben and I have been playing Magic: The Gathering. It’s a card game that came out in the early 90’s. I played for a bit when I came home to visit from my freshman year in college. It’s a fun game but it can be tough to find people who aren’t complete nerds to play with. I’m a geek, but I am not into everything most geeks are so it’s not always easy for me to relate to other geeks. Anyway it’s been fun I really liked playing Magic back in the day.

….Halo 2 that is. I didn’t have an Xbox so when I bought my Xbox 360 I didn’t even think to pick up Halo 2 which was an Xbox game, but now that we are on the eve of the Halo 3 launch I decided I better get in gear and knock the rust off my FPS skillz. So when I got to Austin I picked up a copy of Halo 2. Ben and I have been playing. Ben has been kicking my ass, but I am slowly improving. I have real issues with playing split screen and I have never been that good at playing games with a controller.
Halo 3 will be launching on Sept. 25th, the day before my birthday, which gives me two great reasons to take the day off and frag.
